Q Vintage Ads
Vintage magazine adverts are simply pages taken from old magazines, and before
television, the only way of visually advertising your products would have
been through print.
With marketing being the cornerstone of any business, just about every
company you can think of has marketed their products through magazine
advertising.
All of the vintage adverts on this site are guaranteed to be the original
pages from magazines of the period. They have all been carefully
removed from back issues of the American "Life" magazine
and are all genuine vintage adverts.
For just a few Pounds, plus the cost of a nice wooden frame, you can
have a truly unique piece of vintage advertising for your home or place
of work.
You can pick up some nice wooden frames from charity shops for around £1
- £3. All of my vintage ads except 1 are from charity shops,
I personally think they really take on a life of their own in an
old wooden
frame.
A point to remember about vintage magazine ads, is that there is print
on both sides of the page. Putting a piece of Black backing card behind
your vintage ad will stop the other side from showing through the page.
Vintage adverts look fantastic when framed and mounted! Either on your
wall, on a table, kitchen work top, bed side cabinet, office desk.. and
would make ideal gifts, suitable for all sorts of occasions.
If there is a particular vintage ad that you are looking for and it
is not on the site, contact me with
some details, e.g. "Vintage 1939 Coca Cola Ad" Landscape
or Portrait? Coke in a glass, Coke in a bottle etc... and I will
do my best
to find what you are looking for.
Enjoy your browse through the vintage magazine ads that are on the site,
and I hope you have a pleasant journey down memory lane..
